I have been an active member of Tickhill St Mary’s School since my eldest daughter started school in 1994! I was a member of the PTA, helped with Gala floats and listened to the children in school read whenever I could.
As my three daughters passed through the school I completed my Teaching Assistants training and worked with children with special needs within the Borough for a couple of years before moving to St Marys to work part time. I have been lucky to work with the wonderful staff and children of this school for the last 14 years.
As a TA I work in our school on a daily basis and am proud to see the hard work, enthusiasm and encouragement that the St Marys Team brings to the classrooms and our children to enable them all to progress, learn and develop in their spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development. I have been lucky enough to accompany the Year 5 and 6 children on their residential trips in the past and enjoyed seeing them develop skills that will help prepare them for the opportunities and experiences of later life in school and beyond.
It is wonderful to see the children of St Mary’s taking part and supporting so many of our Village events. Our links with the Church provide so many memorable moments and I am very proud to be part of the Governing Body, working with both pupils and staff, to continue our journey of learning and working together.
