Climate Action Plan
Our Climate Action Plan
At Tickhill St Mary’s C of E Primary School, inspired by our Christian ethos and the vision of ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10), we are committed to fostering a deep respect and care for God’s creation. Our Climate Action Plan integrates sustainability and environmental stewardship throughout our curriculum and school life, encouraging children to develop knowledge, skills, and values that support a sustainable future.
We actively promote learning in the natural environment through our Forest School programme, which offers children hands-on experiences to connect with nature, develop resilience, and enhance their understanding of biodiversity and climate resilience. This practical approach helps children build a meaningful relationship with the natural world and empowers them to take positive action locally.
Through curriculum enrichment, outdoor learning, and community engagement, we strive to nurture active, responsible citizens who are equipped to contribute to climate action and environmental sustainability now and in the future.
