Collective Worship
At St Mary's, we believe that collective worship is at the heart of our school life. It provides a special opportunity for pupils, staff and the wider community to come together to reflect, learn, pray and grow. Collective worship is far more than a daily routine; it is a meaningful expression of our Christian vision, inspired by the words of Jesus in John 10:10:
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
Through collective worship, we encourage everyone to experience "life in all its fullness" and to recognise that they are valued members of a school community where everyone belongs. - Key stage worship gatherings using resources such as Picture News, storytelling and drama.
- Class-based reflection, prayer and discussion.
- Worship in St Mary's Church, including services led by pupils.
- Singing worship and opportunities to express joy through music.
- Special worship linked to Christian festivals, church seasons and significant school events.
