Summer Term One
Happy Easter! I hope you had a wonderful two weeks off with your families.
This half term we are going to be looking at animals. We will start by reading The Little Red Hen and learning all about animals we find at the farm. We will then move on to look at pets and thinking about any pets that the children have in their homes and finally finishing off with Dinosaurs and looking at the different features of dinosaurs.
We will also be looking after our veery own set of Caterpillars and learning about how we look after them and watch them change over time.

To recognise where different animals may live.

Spring Two
Welcome back, I hope you have all had a lovely half term making memories with your family.
This half term we will be learning about 'What is growing in the garden?' The children will learn about plants, beans and what we need to know to help living things grow. We will also be covering Easter and going on an Easter egg hunt to finish the topic off. We will be reading 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and 'Oliver's Vegetables' to develop our knowledge.
Our knowledge for this half term will be:
To end our topic we will be focussing on Easter and thinking about what Easter means. Children will be going on an egg hunt and to understand it is a celebration.

Spring Term one
Happy New Year and welcome back. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed spending time with family.
This half term we will be learning about people 'Who can help us?' In this topic we will be learning about people in our home, school and community who can help us. We will be focussing on doctors, police, firefighters and teachers. We will be using the books 'People who help us', All through the night' and 'Superheros like you' to develop our knowledge.
Our knowledge for this half term will be:
We will end our half term learning all about the Chinese New Year Celebration. As part of this block of learning the children will take part in food tasting, creating Chinese Dragon Dances, creating Chinese lanterns and concertina dragons.

Autumn Two
Hope you have all had a lovely half term, this half term our topic is 'To infinity and Beyond' where we will be learning about space linked to rockets, astronauts, stars and and exploring different forces that are in space. We will be focussing on the books; 'Zoom, Rocket, Zoom,' ' Zoom to the moon' and 'Roaring Rockets'. We will also be preforming a nursery rhyme concert and at the end of this half term, we will be looking at Christmas by preparing for our nativity performance.
Autumn Term One
Welcome to Nursery! We are so excited to be welcoming our children in for the first time.
The first half term we will be settling in to our classroom, learning routines, making relationships and getting to know each other.
Our topic for Autumn One is 'Hey Diddle Diddle' where the children will be learning Nursery Rhymes, some of them they already know but also learning new ones too. They will listen carefully and be able to sing these off by heart for themselves. They will also be acting them out using role play, characters and prompts in their provision.
